Monthly Recap - July '25

Once again, it's time to recap all the things happening on the blog and in my reading life ✨

BOOKS READ 📚

I had a wild month y'all...I started off fine, rereading the Powerless books, then I dived into the dystopians - Dissent, 23 Minutes, Sunrise on the Reaping and Us Deadly Few. After being severely disappointed by that last one, I took a small break from reading and watched a lot of movies.

Then the trouble began 😂 I rewatched Twisters, which inspired my obsession with sweet western/country romances and I wanted to binge as many books in this genre my mood allowed. That's when, ladies and gentlemen, I DNF-ED 3 BOOKS 😭😠 OMG I WAS SO ANNOYED.

I'm over it now, obviously, but that week was a frustrating one for me 😂 If you wanna know, these were the culprits:

The first two were ridiculous and IMO not very well written, but the third one just annoyed me with too much swearing and a main character I didn't really like. I didn't get far, maybe 20 pages in, but I knew I wouldn't like it, so I just gave up. Then, to get back into the reading game, I picked up something I knew I'd love - a new Lynette Noni book. That's exactly what happened, and I had an amazing time!

Not bad, but I could've gone without the 2-star books 😅

I wrote 23 blog posts, which I feel really proud of 😂 I know when September comes and I go back to work, I won't be able to keep up with this tempo. That's why I'll try to enjoy it while it lasts and hopefully continue in this fashion during August as well.
