Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. Here is the topic of the week:
😥 Authors You Wish Were Still Writing Today 😟
This week's topic encourages us to mention authors "who have passed away or retired/are taking a long hiatus from writing." I'll mostly focus on the other category, authors who simply disappeared and haven't written anything in years, leaving many fans (including me) desperate for more.
Katie Dale; Jane Austen; Caryn Lix
Aaron Kite; C.V. Wyk; Cristin Terrill
Robin Roe; Anna Priemaza

Excellent list! Have you read Dark Room Etiquette by Robin Roe? I read the arc a few years ago, it was a great read.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I haven't yet but it's on my TBR 😄 She writes angsty books about emotional boys so well 😂
DeleteJane Austen is the only one I know. I remember Little White Lies though. Good post.
ReplyDeleteAusten is probably on a lot of lists this week, the women is a genius 😄
DeleteI hope they’re all doing well. I always wonder what’s going on with an author when they suddenly fall silent.
ReplyDeleteSame! On one hand, I want them to keep writing, but on the other hand if they're thriving without it, I'm happy for them 😂
DeleteI haven't thought about Katie Dale in a hot minute! Good pick. & I'm still surprised Robin Roe hasn't been more prolific after such a splash debut.
ReplyDeleteYeah, they both write emotions so well! I agree with you on the Robin Roe issue because she definitely deserves all the hype! 😄
DeleteI haven't heard of most of these authors, but I definitely know what it's like to wait and wait and wait for a favorite author to publish something new. The struggle is real!
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
It's not easy, that's for sure! And thanks! 🤗
