Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. Here is the topic of the week:
🌧 April Showers ☂
The official description for today's prompt is:
"rainy day reads, books that make you cry, books that give you happy tears, books to wash away a bad reading experience, books set in rainy places, books with rain/raindrops/umbrellas on the cover, blue book covers, etc."
Since my cold, dead heart is still, well, cold and dead, I don't cry much when reading, so I'm skipping that. Doing blue covers seems too basic, especially considering I already did Rainbow Cover posts where I recommended books in every color.
That leaves me with rainy day reads, which could be basically anything (I don't have a specific genre I read during rainy weather) and books to wash away a bad reading experience (which again, could be a lot of things). Not liking either of those, I finally decided on books with rain/umbrellas on the cover ☔
Honestly, is anyone even shocked that I picked a cover-related prompt? 😂

THEN I actually checked all of my GR books and realized I don't have nearly enough of these types of covers so I picked another prompt - books set in rainy places, aka the UK 😂

💬 Do you have any rainy recommendations? 💬

I love the cover of Made You Up. It’s been on several lists this week.
ReplyDeleteOkay but the dedication to the theme is admirable!

LOL love the switch-up! That's half of what makes this prompt so much fun :) being able to tweak it as needed. Also, A Good Girl's Guide to Murder... Is it worth reading or overhyped?
