2026 Challenges Additions ✍🏻

I already talked about the reading challenges I'm joining this year, but it seems I completely forgot to mention two more that I joined in my thoughts 😂 Since this is a continuation of that post, I'm gonna continue numbering from last time.

8. Goodreads Choice Awards Challenge

This one is a challenge I made to somehow encourage myself to read books that other people loved. I sometimes (aka most of the time) skip certain books because of the hype they get and wait for years till people forget about them to pick them up 😂

Idk why I'm like this, but it's the same with TV shows and music - if everyone is talking about it, I'm gonna purposely ignore it till it dies out. And THEN I'm gonna pick it up...and probably love it 😂

To sum up, I needed to find which books people generally loved and try them, so of course my mind immediately went to the Goodreads Choice Awards. Since I haven't been reading that many new releases the past 2 years, I picked 6 books from the 2024 Nominees and 6 books from the 2025 Nominees. Of course, I mainly focused on the YA categories, but I also picked some books from the Adult Sci-fi category. Here they are:

2024:

2025:

Some of them have already been on my radar and some of them I discovered while perusing the Choice Award books.

9. 2026 Discussion Challenge

Now this is one that I reluctantly "joined" in 2024 and idk what happened, I simply forgot about it 😅 This year I'll try to be more consistent with my discussion posts and actually track them with this challenge.

The level I'll be joining is the easiest one: "1-10 – Discussion Dabbler." If I manage to write even more, I'll be extremelly happy, but 10 would be amazing as well!

💬 How many challenges are you joining this year? 💬

  2. Joined in your thoughts 😂 I feel that. Lol. Good luck on these! I've seen people do the Goodreads one and I honestly don't know how. I could never. Usually the books on there are so popular that by the point the awards roll around I'm sick of seeing them and therefore do not want to read myself 😅 I am so dramatic 😂 But I'm looking forward to seeing what you think of all these books! And yay for joining the discussion challenge! I love it! But then I love to yap about books 😆

    1. Thanks! I definitely agree that there's a problem with over hyping books recently. It's the same effect as listening to the same song on the radio - I can't stand it 😂😂 Ahh the discussion challenge, both my dream and my nightmare 😅
