Cheat Sheet - KeyWord Challenge Part 1.

Do you like participating in reading challenges but never know which books to pick? Or are you just too lazy like me and want a list of recommendations served on a plate? You're in luck! Because I, the benevolent ruler of this corner of the internet, will post a series of "reading challenge cheat sheets" where I'll recommend books that fit a certain challenge prompt. ðŸ˜‚

Before I dive into my first challenge, I just want to mention that if you're participating in some sort of color-coded challenge and need recs for that, I've already got a blog post series for that so you can check it out HERE ðŸŒˆ

Now, for my first recommendation list, I've picked the KeyWord Reading Challenge (created by Kim and Tany over at Chapter Adventure)  which I absolutely LOVED doing this year, and I'm continuing with it in 2025! I'll give you 3 books for each prompt so you have more options ðŸ˜„

Since this is a pretty long list, I'll divide it into 2 parts. Hopefully, you find this useful ðŸ¥° If you have any more recs feel free to drop them in the comments!

JANUARY: time, know, hour

Maybe This Time / Also Known As / 172 Hours On the Moon

FEBRUARY: dream, first

Dreamfall / Not If I See You First / Not If I Save You First

MARCH: deep, sand, little

Daughter of Deep Silence / Blood and Sand / Little White Lies

APRIL: days, life

100 Days of Sunlight / Love, Life and the List / In Real Life

MAY: lost, fan

The Lovely and the Lost / Letters to the Lost / Fan the Fame

JUNE: heart, wander, book

Listen to Your Heart / Wanderlost / The Book of Ivy

Do you like reading challenges or are you more of a spontaneous reader?

  1. I found out about this reading challenge some days ago and I'm thinking of joining. This list is useful! I was debating doing something similar because I wanted to join some reading challenges this year but needed help with some months, so I was doing lists like that for myself. For some months, I have a bunch to choose from, but there are others that I have only 1 option, and I added it just to have something. So I am still unsure whether I join or not, because I do not want to read a book that I am not that interested in just so that I can complete that month's prompt.
Which month do you think will be more difficult?

    1. I completely understand you! Especially this challenge had me going crazy 😂 November was the worst for me, I barely found one book that fits the prompt words 😅 Reading a book just for the sake of the challenge is not really motivating, I agree. Maybe some new books will come out during the next year, or you'll stumble upon other books on blogs/ social media. Don't give up yet! 🥰 Reading challenges are usually very fun and give you a boost in reading. Although, if you realize they are too much, that you feel stressed, don't do them. Whatever works for you

  2. Oooh! I love the idea of this! I don't tend to join a lot of reading challenges that have super specific prompts because aside form the fact that I'm a mood reader, finding books to fit those prompts can be difficult. But this is very helpful! I can't wait to see the rest of your recommendations!

    1. omgosh thanks! I'm so glad people are finding this helpful! Reading challenges can be both stress inducing but also very rewarding and fun. That somehow made me think about writing lists like these, so people can participate without the additional pressure of finding books 😅
