Summer Strike - the introverted bookish girl's dream ☀️📚

Recently I watched one of the most relaxing, cozy and soft kdramas ever.

It's about a girl quitting her job in the city and moving to the countryside to take a break and enjoy her summer. There she meets an equally introverted librarian who helps her navigate her new life and get to know all of the villagers.

The main reason I loved this so much is because both main characters are introverted. Usually, if the girl is shy, the boy is the ultra macho extroverted type who takes care of everything. OR the opposite where he is all serious, not talking to anybody until he meets her with all her bubbliness and quirky attitude. That's why it was refreshing seeing two characters who are the most unproblematic people ever, just chilling, going to libraries, hanging out with people, not doing anything scandalous.

*look at how cute they are*

Most of the plot is drama-free. Of course, there are some misunderstandings, and some mysteries around the village that need to be solved. But it's all very chill and exactly what I needed. The perfect companion to the hot spring days ahead of us.

Not to mention the aesthetic is simply gorgeous.

Lovely friendships and a romance you can absolutely root for are what make this series even more special. All of the people were so nice, and the community was so warm - I kinda want to move there too 😂

I know some people might find it boring, especially if they don't usually watch "slice of life" dramas, but I found it's lack of action relaxing. I looked forward to seeing the main character encounter someone new and build new friendships, or just taking her dog on a walk and watching a beautiful sunrise, or helping the cute guy sort some books in the library
