Game Review - Titan Station

Far into the future, in the year 1999: David, a systems operator, runs from his troubles by taking a job on a space station. After arriving, his mundane work turns into a struggle for his very life as he makes a shocking discovery.

Most of the time I stick to cozy, "happy" games, but from time to time I like to "visit" my second fave genre - mysteries. This time, it's a sci-fi mystery about a guy who gets a job on a space station and has to uncover what really happened there.

Honestly, I was slightly disappointed. I knew from the start that this is a short game - takes only a couple of hours. But I thought the gameplay would be more...diverse? Basically, all of the puzzles are the same, you push a button and pull a lever. It's not rocket science. Not only that, but the same thing repeats all the time. The only thing that changes is the scenery - you are in one room, then the other, then you're on the planet etc. Still, it gets really repetitive.

The "what happened and how" is interesting, but you don't do much investigating per se. You follow instructions and don't really have much space to do what you want. You're guided through every situation so it's not really solving, but waiting for others to tell you what happened.

The gaming mechanics are smooth enough and the art is impressive but what's the point of all of that if I didn't enjoy playing it? It felt like a chore - travelling from one part of the station to another just to press some buttons and then travel back.
