New week means new Monday bookish meme hosted by  The Book Date.

 

 I have to admit, my choices to start off the summer reading spree were great! Best Summer Ever was a super sweet, friendship-focused book that's actually a bit deeper than the cover and synopsis would make you think. Both of the main characters were fleshed out and interesting. Jenna feels like everyone is moving on and she'll be left alone while Olivia needs to accept that she doesn't have to live her life to serve others. I loved their character growth and the way both girls got the ending they deserved ♥ I gave it 4.5 ⭐😉

Love Unmasked is a sweet, fandom-themed romance set in Venice! Despite romance being the main focus, I adored all the friendships as well! The bookish fandom with a super secret club in Venice was also a nice plot point. I have to admit, this book gave me all the right feels and reminded me a lot of Kasie West's work so it's no surprise I gave it 5 ⭐!

A romance story between two teens from rival families (and rival baseball teams)? Sign me up!

 

After reading one book set in Italy, I deemed it appropriate to read another one, especially considering I'm also going on a trip to Italy in August!!
