Don't even know how to summarize my watchlist from the last 2 months 😂 Let's just say that there was a little bit of everything 😉

Of course, I had to start off with some Turkish series. Since all of the other ones I watched are on break until autumn, right now the only one I'm watching is Daha 17 (Only 17) about teens dealing with different issues. The main character is looking for his long-lost brother, who's actually this spoiled rich kid that's been tormenting him ever since he arrived at his school. There's also this cute romance subplot, some mystery, and lots of drama! I'm really liking it so far because it has a "new" feel to it and it reminds me of Duy Beni. Plus, all of these young actors are amazing!
⭐⭐⭐⭐✨
Then we have Cirkin (Ugly) which I already finished. It only has 8 episodes in the first season and while it's definitely interesting (has some unique elements compared to other shows), I think it could be even better. I'm just hoping the main character finally turns into a badass because so far, she's been pretty...passive? She just let everyone step over her and while I know it's part of her character, it got boring pretty quickly. Still, I'm definitely gonna watch the second season because I want to see how the mystery gets resolved!
⭐⭐⭐✨

After loving the first season I just had to binge the second one as well! I can definitely see why it's a hit because it brings good ol' memories of shows like The Mentalist, Psych, Monk etc. It took me a bit but Morgan eventually grew on me. She's definitely more likable in the 2nd season 😂 I'm also glad we got more backstories for everyone - especially all the side characters. There were also some pretty interesting cases and I'm loving the new "main" villains!
⭐⭐⭐⭐

Guys, I know I said I didn't really enjoy this series but idk why, I had this sudden urge to watch it again with a different attitude - looking at it purely as a TV show without any knowledge of the books because I realized I finally forgot most of the plot to do so 😂 Now, when I watched it again (with my memory erased) I actually enjoyed it far more. I still think the first season was a tad bit bland, but that second season blew me away. The guy playing Max?
SO FREAKING GOOD. Like, his character is so despicable, so revolting, and yet he makes him look charming? Now that's how you properly portray a rich sociopathic narcissist who always gets away with doing bad stuff. I wanted to punch him in the face all the time and yet I could totally see why everyone else in town thought he wasn't guilty...

I'm a huge Legally Blonde fan so I knew this series would probably become my newest obsession AND I WAS RIGHT! First of all, to truly enjoy this series it's best not to compare it to the movie because the movie is obviously a classic and cannot be "remade." The show doesn't try to be a copy and yes, there are some discrepancies between the two plots (which might be resolved in the later seasons) but should you really care about that? I honestly don't see a point in trying to find every single detail that doesn't fit in with the original storyline.
I decided to just focus on the series in front of me and the new plot, and I had the best of times. Lexi manages to bring Elle's charm without trying to copy Reese in everything. She brings something new to the table, and I loved her in every scene. Her character is still a badass (albeit a tiny bit less confident, which is what makes sense because she's a teen), still has a great fashion sense, still has a good instinct and investigative tendencies, and most importantly - she's still an amazing friend. ♥
The side characters brought life to the story, and I loved literally everyone - Dustin, Donna, Liz, Madison etc. Everyone was important, and everyone's story arc made sense! The Seattle setting was fun and I truly can't wait to see season 2!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!!

Despite knowing exactly how this ends (the book impressed me so much when I was a teen and it was among the first YA twisty books I read, so it's ingrained in my memory), I still got emotional and that tells you a lot. They managed to portray the whole thing (trying not to spoil anything lol) in a realistic way so the watcher doesn't suspect anything.
Everything, from the family drama to the friendship dynamics, was done so well...Even the cast (everyone was new to me, except Candice King) was top notch. I heard there's gonna be season 2 set in the past and with The Moms as main characters, but I don't think I'll be watching because I think it ended the way it's supposed to.

I'm gonna end this post with 2 movies I watched at the cinema. First up is The Devil Wears Prada 2 and this is probably gonna sound weird but I would've loved this movie had it not been for Andie. Anne Hathaway is not 20yo anymore and idk who decided that her character should act just as quirky and giggly as in the first movie but I hated it. Instead of being cute, it was just cringey and weird. She grew up did she not? It was like she had zero character development since the 1st one. I literally loved everyone else (Emily and Meryl being the queens they are + Nigel, ahh his character is such a sweetie ♥) but the moment Anna showed up, I would eye roll so bad. The plot was just fine I guess.
⭐⭐⭐
Moving on to Disclosure Day, it shares one thing with TDWP 2 - I adored Emily Blunt in it, but that wasn't enough to make me love the movie 😂 For one, it was far too long. The plot is barely there so it definitely could've been said in less time. There's also the fact that basically nothing happens. I do get that there's a point to it, that it's more like a comment on society and keeping secrets and what the people actually need to know is, and yet...Idk, I just expected more aliens, more special effects instead of just the psychological aspect (which was done really well!).
