πŸ”ͺ So many Scream movies and even more Turkish series, aka the best combo! ♥

Tasacak Bu Deniz and Halef are still ongoing and you know what? Tasacak Bu Deniz keeps getting better while Halef keeps getting worse πŸ˜‚πŸ˜ I apsolutely adore Fadime and Iso, they are my faves in TBD and I can't get enough of them ♥

I stopped watching Arafta because I got slightly bored, I mean I knew it was repetitive as heck, but I needed a little break πŸ˜‚ I'll probably watch it again next month or something. In any case, I added two more Turkish shows to my "currently watching" list:

Yeralti is a twisty mafia series about this powerful family and some intelligence officers trying to control their influence. The scheming is off the charts! I love all of the characters and you never know what's gonna happen, who's gonna betray who and who has the upper hand. The three characters you see on the poster are the most interesting ones - Haydar Ali (the spy), Bozo (the mafia boss) and Ceylan (Haydar's ex-girlfriend and current mafia boss's wife πŸ˜‚). Not only is there drama about the mafia business, there's also some romantic entanglements and disputes. So much fun!

⭐⭐⭐⭐✨

Sevdigim Sensin on the other hand is more of a...regular drama? Idk how to explain it πŸ˜‚ Basically, this main guy (Erkan) saves a village girl (Dicle) from death by marrying her even though he doesn't love her. He's also super rich (and sometimes a nice guy), and his family is just a bunch of money/power-hungry horrible people who want to use him and hurt her.  She's a bit naive and doesn't have a personality except being super nice, but I have a feeling she will become a badass and finally stand up for herself very soon. That's actually the only plot line I care for πŸ˜‚ Their "romance" is one-sided and not that great so far + I hate basically ALL of the characters except Dicle πŸ˜… There are only 5 episodes so far I think so there's a lot of room for improvement!

⭐⭐⭐✨

I needed something light and something crime related so I started watching High Potential! I've heard many good things about it and it's been on my radar for quite some time 😁 It's definitely super fun, quirky, and has that same vibe that shows like The Mentalist, Psych, and Elementary had! You've got a police squad solving crimes and one "outsider" who's a genius that helps them. I'm currently 4 episodes in and I can already tell I'm gonna love it!

After seeing the news about Scream 7's release, I realized I had no idea how many of these movies there were πŸ˜‚ Since I was in the mood for some mindless slasher fun, I decided to rewatch the first one and continue with the series to see what I missed. The first one is a classic, the twist is original and had I not seen it before, I wouldn't have guessed who it was! I loved the 90s vibes, the acting and everything was top-notch.

⭐⭐⭐⭐✨

Moving on, the second movie didn't wow me, but it was worth it just for Randy, that guy is the MVP!! I also liked how Gale and Dewey had a more prominent role. The reveal was okay, didn't leave a lasting impression on me. I will admit one thing - over all the movies, Sydney was constantly brilliant. I never felt like she survived "because she's the main character" and has to - she survived because she KICKS ASS. She doesn't make stupid, impulsive decisions - she comes prepared and does whatever is necessary to survive.

⭐⭐⭐

I have to admit I liked the third one a bit more than the second one πŸ˜‚ Idk what the critics and long-time fans think about this (to be perfectly honest, I haven't been reading any reviews) but I had a lot of fun. These movies were always filled with horror movie references, jokes at their own expense, and are known for being full on meta, and this third movie had all that times 10. I also liked the final reveal, it made more sense to me than the second one.

⭐⭐⭐✨

Scream 4 had a time jump, and it was interesting to see how the producers would incorporate the "newer" technology into all of this. Sydney, again, blew my mind with her actions and general resourcefulness. The reveal was really good, if I may say so, and so far, it's my second favorite of the series. Also, that intro was so dumb but so brilliant at the same time πŸ˜‚
