Journaling Pages #1 ✒

Journaling is something that I've fallen in love with in recent years. I've always been obsessed with stationary but ever since I started documenting my reading (and blogging) plans I started loving it even more.

There something special about writing in a notebook and not just having digital notes. Besides that, having a million stickers, washi tapes and colored pens allows me to make all kinds of spreads and that only adds to the fun. Last year I forgot to take pics of my reading journal and some of my late-year spreads were boring so I decided not to share it at all. My 2025 journal was all about brown, beige and green aesthetics. It was pretty but after a while, I got tired of it despite those being some of my fave colors. That's why this year...I kinda went off the rails 😂

There's no specific color scheme, I just do whatever I want to so it's kind of chaotic. Every spread is different and I kinda dig it. I'm not limited to a specific aesthetic and each new page is like a new adventure. Am I in the mood for blue? Maybe vintage? Or is it bright pink Barbie style?

Not to make these posts too long, I've decided to share 2 spreads in every one. That keeps it neat and I can focus on each page individually. To start with, I'll show you my cover page and reading tracker. I'll also try to find links for the stickers I used (most are from Temu).

Since I just came from a "dark academia" style, muted-toned journal, I decided my starting page for the new journal should be complete opposite - as magical and whimsical as possible. 😂 For some reason, I was obsessed with lilac and holographic elements at the time I was making this in December. Those little sea details (the shells and crystals) were just some random, pretty pictures I found on Pinterest and printed out on ordinary paper.

For my reading tracker, I chose a theme based on this gorgeous bookish washi tape I got last year  - the blue one with pinkish/ orange books. I'll put a link below. I also did a "dutch door" because two pages aren't enough, but four are too much 😅 The theme is very colorful, gives me early 2000s vibes which is exactly what I wanted 😂

  1. Love how you made it look! I'm not keeping a dedicated one this year - but there are a few reading journal pages in my "done" journal - which is more memory keeping.

    1. Thank you! That's also a great way to track things, you can come back to these memories years later and remember all the great books you read 😊

  2. It's so pretty!! I have a journal for this year too, but honestly, I've been doing this sort of stuff on spreadsheets for years, so it kinda feels redundant to have a journal too 😅 Idk. I'm gonna keep with it for now, but it's definitely not as nice as yours. Lol.

    1. Thank you so much 🤗 It may be redundant when it comes to productivity, but having something pretty to look at from time to time is definitely a perk 😂 And I'm sure it looks amazing!! Don't sell yourself short, I've seen your nail art, so I know you have the skills and the inspiration 😎
