New week means new Monday bookish meme hosted by The Book Date.
Still in a romantasy mood, after reading Forgotten, I picked up not one, but two 12 Dancing Princesses retellings 😂😂 Both were 4-star reads for me, but they were wildly different. The first one (The Blacksmith Princess) was more about friendship and the bonds between the girls, while the second one was a darker story where the main character goes through severe emotional abuse and has to sacrifice herself for the sake of her sisters. Both were so bingeable and short!
I needed something to switch from retellings to dragon books and guess what, this book is both 😂😂 It's a Beauty and the Beast retelling with dragons, which sounds like the perfect combo ever. I've only read 2 chapters so I can't tell yet what it's gonna be like.
More dragons! I've got 3 more similar books lined up after this one and ahhh I'm so happy to be in "full fantasy mode" this whole January 🐉
