New week means new Monday bookish meme hosted by The Book Date.
I can't believe that my second book of the year (I reread The Naturals to start the year off with something I love) was a 2-star cringe fest...Almost everything about it was horrible, and yet I couldn't stop reading it and wanted to see how it would end. It ended with an engagement after 9 days of knowing each other...wow...I plan on doing a review post with all the winter romances so you'll find out more then 😂
I'm almost done with this one, and it was SO. FREAKING. ADORABLE. Like they got this fake dating scheme going on, which is cute by itself, but they're also both such nice people and their conversations don't make me wanna strangle myself like in Single All The Way. I'm gonna have to check out other K.Bailey's books because this relationship was full of green flags.
I had three hockey romance books planned for this winter, so yeah, I've got one more after this 😂

ReplyDeleteOh no, how terrible that your first new book was so bad! But think on the bright side, it cannot get worse than that. So glad you're enjoying your current read way more, you should have done that one first. I am curious about the author.
ReplyDeleteThat's actually a good way to look at it! Now that I think about it, it can only go upwards from this 😂 I ended up loving the second book and I'm already on my third one 😂
