Winter Games ⛸️

🧊⛸️ Winter Cozy Gaming ❄️☃️

Officially, winter began 3 days ago so of course it's time for some cold-themed games to play! Some of the games mentioned are set during winter, and some of them have a "winter feel" because of the color palette or just a feeling I got while playing it 😂 The thing is, I tend to play more "cafe/restaurant management" games during winter because making hot drinks and warm meals seems like the perfect theme. In any case, there's a mix of genres here so let's dive in!

First of all, here's a list of all the games:

1. Candleman 🕯️

2. Moonleap 🌙

3. Pixel Cafe

4. Bread and Fred 🐧

5. Celeste 🏔️

6. Titan Station 🖥️

1. Candleman 🕯️

"Despite only being able to burn for 10 seconds, a little candle journeys into the darkness, with the purpose of seeking light."

• In this 3D platformer, you play as a candle that can only burn for a few seconds and your goal is to fight a greater light. Diverse locations and unique gameplay, as you have to navigate through the dark, offer a fairytale-like experience. The difficulty increases but in a satisfying way •

2. Moonleap 🌙

"Explore a world full of mysteries that transform with each jump! Moonleap is a game about a moon boy on his journey to recover shooting stars. Change day to night with your jump and catch all the stars in this challenging puzzle-platformer!"

• A puzzle platformer where each jump changes the world around you. Like all games of this genre, some levels will make you cry, but in a good way. It encourages you to think 20 steps in advance and gives you a great feeling of satisfaction once you finish it. •

3. Pixel Cafe ☕

"Step into Pixel's shoes in this one-of-a-kind journey that bridges time, memories, and the aroma of fresh coffee. Dive deep into a city balancing its past and future. Engage in intense arcade challenges, immerse yourself in heartfelt stories, and navigate a world crafted in pixel art."

• The pixel art, along with the colors makes this game so winter coded. Not only do you get a wonderful story about a girl navigating life in the big city, you also get some of the best time-management gameplay I've seen in recent years. There are a lot of mechanics you need to learn, but trust me, when you finish an order in record time, you'll feel so. good.  •

4. Bread and Fred 🐧

"Grab your best bud for help in this new co-op challenge to help two adorable penguins, Bread and Fred, reach the top of the snowy summit. Time your jumps, cling to walls and swing across gaps to see how far you can make it before you tumble all the way back down the mountain."

• A two-player game that will make you want to murder your partner if he jumps at the wrong time AGAIN. You play as two penguins trying to reach the top of the mountain. I played this with my sister and we had a great time, but we also wanted to strangle each other for not reading each other's minds and moving in sync 😂 •

5. Celeste 🏔️

"Help Madeline survive her inner demons on her journey to the top of Celeste Mountain, in this super-tight platformer from the creators of TowerFall. Brave hundreds of hand-crafted challenges, uncover devious secrets, and piece together the mystery of the mountain."

• A complex, character-driven platformer that you'll never forget. I've played this game ages ago and still remember it vividly. It requires precision, planning and developing skill. The story is magnificent as well. The whole game is just the perfect package of amazing backstories, beautiful pixel graphics and creative gameplay. •

6. Titan Station 🖥️

"Far into the future, in the year 1999: David, a systems operator, runs from his troubles by taking a job on a space station. After arriving, his mundane work turns into a struggle for his very life as he makes a shocking discovery."

• A first-person exploration game with puzzle elements, this one is for all of you who like a good mystery and prefer story over action. There's no combat, but it's still creepy enough to make the game intense at some points.  •

I hope you guys end up finding a new game you're gonna love!

Here's a list of games that I haven't played yet, but they're on my to-play list in the upcoming months:
