Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. Here is the topic of the week:
π©Έπ·️ Horror YA Books ππͺ
This week is the "Halloween freebie" so I decided to talk about a genre I don't read often - horror. It's not among my fave genres, but I don't dislike it either. It's somewhere in between and something I picked up from time to time just to spice things up in my reading habits. Even then, I don't read any paranormal stuff, I'm only here for the psychological and sci-fi horror π Here are 10 thrilling reads I absolutely enjoyed:

π¬ Do you read much horror? Do you have any sci-fi horror recs for me? π¬

Ohh you read it too?? It's so underrated right? π And thanks!
DeleteWhat a refreshing list, paranormal creeps in to so many books in the horror genre.

Thanks! Unfortunately yes, most horror lists are filled with the supernatural π I always preferred the more "realistic" ones - they are even scaried because they could happen in real life π
DeleteI don't do horror, however I feel like if I find a lighter one, I might enjoy them. I really liked A Monster Calls, which has horror elements, but it is not scary, so I will check others on the list.
ReplyDeleteahh I totally feel you! I don't really like super intense horror either, especially overwhelming gore. That's why I always lean more towards psychological horror. I hope you find something else you'll like! π
DeleteI used to be a big horror reader, but I just can't these days! I still like atmospheric and lightly spooky reads, but nothing too terrifying. I've read a couple of these.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
I with you on this! I feel like reality is terrifying enough, at least my books can be a bit lighter π
DeleteDreamfall was a really fun, interesting one! And I have #murdertrending I just haven't gotten around to it yet. Lol.
ReplyDeleteYeah it was! There's something extra creepy about "reality shows" as a setting, so I def recommend #murdertrending π
