Reading Challenge Updates - Q2 2025

 

With the end of June, another quarter is behind us so of course it's time to take a look at all the reading challenges and see how I'm doing 😄

First up, we have the A to Z challenge, which is going great considering I'm winging it 😂 Judging by the stats, I'm nailing this one so far and while I know I'm gonna have a hell of a time trying to find the X, Y and Z books, I'm going to enjoy this feeling while it lasts 😂

Stats: 17 out of 26 (65%) ✦ 27% ↑ since last time 😄

Next up is the Key Word challenge! I have to mention I never do these monthly challenges in order 😂 I pick the books at the beginning of the year and I can't predict what mood I'll be in, so I just read books in whichever order I want to.

When I look at the numbers below I know I'm slightly behind since I should've passed the 50% mark, but considering I'm doing immensly better on the "Motif" one, I'll give myself a pass 😅

Stats: 5 out of 12 (41%) ✦ 16% ↑ since last time 😄

 

Moving on with a challenge from the same authors, and that's the Motif challenge. This one is going great, I'm even slightly ahead so I'll just leave it at that.

Stats: 8 out of 12 (66%) ✦ 22% ↑ since last time 😄

 

Rainbow Challenge is going...good. I planned on reading 2 more books for this (red and white), but my mood wasn't cooperating so I'm gonna leave it for later. I'm doing okay being exactly at the halfway point.

Stats: 5 out of 10 (50%) ✦ 20% ↑ since last time 😄

Next is the Read With Allison Challenge with it's million prompts 😂 I'm doing surprisingly well here. I did get lucky when my mood threw a curveball and made me reread Powerless and All Systems Red because these two ticked a few boxes 😅

Stats: 35 out of 52 (67%) ✦ 21% ↑ since last time 😄

Then we have the Buzzwordathon Cover Challenge. I know it seems like a huge jump from 16 to 66% but there truly aren't that many books and just like with Allison's challenge - Powerless and Murderbot made a huge difference 😂

Stats: 8 out of 12 (66%) ✦ 50% ↑ since last time 😄

 

Last but not least is the 25 Books In 2025. I could be doing a bit better on this one. I truly thought I would've already read Us Deadly Few and Sunrise on the Reaping by the end of June, but I was too scared to start them 😅

Stats: 11 out of 25 (44%) ✦ 12% ↑ since last time 😄

Overall, I'm doing so much better than last year 😂 Part of it is luck, part of it is better planning. There are only 2 challenges I need to catch up with - 25 in 2025 and the Key Word RC.
