It’s Monday! What are You Reading? - 14.07.25

New week means new monday bookish meme hosted by  The Book Date.

I tried reading The Fell by Sarah Moss but the way it was written was super annoying and bored me out of my mind. It's literally only 180 pages long but I gave up at the 10% mark. Instead I scourged the internet again to find a book that fits the "one-day-story" prompt and found this one! It was freaking amazing. It's also on the shorter side with only 170 pages but it definitely uses all of them wisely. It's a time-travel contemporary novel about a girl who witnesses a bank robbery and goes back in time 23 minutes to try and stop it. I recommend it!

I am trudging through this book only because it fits so many prompts on my reading challenges 😂 It's not terrible but it is filled with cliches and has one super annoying main character. I'm slowly getting through it so despite reading it for 5 days, I'm only at the 60% mark. It's not all bad, since it's a dystopian novel there are some interesting plot points but it's all overshadowed by how whiny and selfish the main character is. Oh well, I just hope I finish it soon...

I'm keeping this one as the next read because I know I'll love it 😂

What are you currently reading? What are you planning on reading next?
