✨ Bookish Wishes ✨
This is a repeating topic, so I won't be listing books I wish I had a copy of because I already have them 😂 There's only one series I don't have yet, but I actually ordered the box set a few days ago so there's that.
Instead, I'm gonna write my "wishes" for books and the publishing world in general 😄
1. I wish the dystopian era makes a comeback. Honestly, we get such a small number of new ya sci-fi books in recent years, it makes me mad.
2. I wish more books got animated adaptations. This one was prompted by the recent Lunar Chronicles news (it's going to be an animated movie ahhh screaming!!!). I feel like people force live-action adaptations just for the castings and vibes (and the hype that comes with the actors) when actually, it would be easier to show most fantasy/sci-fi scenes in animated form.
3. I wish the fantasy book covers were more diverse. It's always a mostly black cover with fancy lettering, some vines/thorns/vague leafy shapes, and a flower or a dagger. Where did the creativity disappear???
4. I wish there were more YA focused book blogs. This is purely for selfish reasons because I'm in constant need of ya book recs and don't know where to find them 😂😂
5. I wish the book-to-game adaptation industry flourished a bit more 😂 I know there are games based on Harry Potter, The Witcher, Alice in Wonderland etc. but it's still a relatively short list.
That's all I could think of at the moment 😄

There are a few YA focused blogs that participate in TTT, but not many!

DeleteYes to the dystopian comeback! I'm rereading The Hunger Games right now because I need a good dystopia in my life.
ReplyDeleteahh I feel you 😂 Rereading THG is sort of a yearly event for me because the universe is not giving us enough dystopian novels 😂 Maybe next year will be better! 😄
DeleteI'm so excited about the Lunar Chronicles getting adapted. I was extremely impressed with the Nimona adaptation even though it changed up some stuff it still really worked and the visual style was outstanding.
