New week means new monday bookish meme hosted by The Book Date.
This was fine, fun at times, but ultimately didn't pull me in as much as I hoped. It's got a unique concept (bonding with magical animals that give you powers) but overall it's got too many cringe stuff for me to take it seriously. More in my review later!
Now this series has been on my radar ever since I read and loved The Poison Healer trilogy. Lynette Noni has such a good writing style and a great sense of creating complex plots. I'm currently on Chapter 8 and it's going good so far.
I'll probably continue with this series because there's no way I won't love the first book. It's Lynette how can I not ♥
