Pinterest Picks My Next Read! 📕

Hey guys, I've got something a bit different for you today 😂 Last year, I noticed a trend among BookTubers and whatever you call readers on Threads, where they'd insert a genre, or just the word "book" in the Pinterest search bar and read whatever they got. I thought that was cute and put it on my endless "to-do" list.

Well, after DNF-ing 2 books and reading one ridiculous one, I'm in the mood for a change. Something unexpected to kick-start my reading again. I definitely noticed I'm leaning towards romantasy (which I mentioned in my last lemon post) but I couldn't find anything on my TBR that pulled me in. That's why I decided to hop on this "Pinterest picks my next read" trend 😄

What I did was just search for "ya romantasy" on Pinterest and looked at the top 3 results:

I was so glad the first result was something that immediately intrigued me - not only was it a spice free romantasy, it was also a book I HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE. That's something that doesn't happen often when you spend a lot of hours online, either on GR or book blogs.

I'm currently reading The Concealed and it's been fun so far. We'll see where it goes, but I have to admit, this Pinterest thing is working 😂

Next up was Heartless Hunter which I skipped because I've already seen this book a lot, and it doesn't interest me. The third result was a link to a romantasy list. And you know what, it was an interesting list because I found ANOTHER BOOK I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF.

Dissent leans more toward dystopian than fantasy, but that's even better! Do you know how few new dystopian novels we get? And that's my favorite sub-genre 😭 In any case, I was so glad to discover this series and I can't wait to get to it afterwards!

💬 Would you try this method of finding new books? 💬
