✨ New-to-Me Authors I Discovered in 2024 ✨

It's time to showcase all the new authors that wowed me last year!

First up, we've got Jane Hur. I've read her Red Palace novel earlier in the year and while it didn't wow me, it had some decent qualities. Then I read A Crane Among Wolves and it was so good!! She is clearly getting better and I'm excited to see what else she comes up with 😄

Next, we've got Ben Oliver who wrote one of the best dystopians I've read last year. His name sounded familiar but I couldn't place him and then after investigating on GR, I saw he's the one who wrote The Loop - a dystopian series I've been wanting to read for some time but forgot about it 😂

Last in this row is an author whose debut novel BLEW ME AWAY. Alexis Patton is a woman who wrote a book that gave me the exact feels young me felt when she first read about Tris and Four. Look, I loved Divergent, but I pretend the sequels don't exist because REASONS. 😂

Ravena Guron wrote a fun, fast-paced academic murder mystery and I'm really looking forward to reading more from her! I saw that she has a couple of more mysteries so I'll probably check those out 😄

It takes a lot for me to love a historical romance, so I have to congratulate Sally Nicholls because not only did she pull that off, she's written one of few novels that actually focuses on FRIENDSHIPSSS ♥ I love those. I love romance too, but sometimes you just need a dose of healthy girl friendships and support systems.

While on topic of friendships, you can find good ones in Swarm, a novel by Jennifer D. Lyle where giant butterflies swarm and kill people. Perfect atmosphere to make your friendship bonds even stronger 😂 She also wrote wonderful sibling interactions and lots of creepy scenes that'll pull you in.

I definitely appreciate the way Mur Lafferty twisted his story and delivered shocking plot twists, so you bet I'm gonna follow his work closely from now on 😂

It's hard to pull off a complex story and believable characters in a novella, but Mira Grand did it. Her story was super creepy and action-packed. I already added some of her other stories to my TBR!

I was surprised in the best way by Annah Conwell's cute romance book and honestly, I'll probably binge the whole series during summer. I can't wait!!! ♥

This list wouldn't be complete without the queen of weird humor and banter - Hannah Nicole Maehrer. I can't believe this is her debut novel because I fell in love with it so much!! 😍
