⭐ Starting with the most recent news, the trailer for live-action How To Train Your Dragon just dropped and guyss??? I kinda dig it 😍
They actually made everything as close as possible to the original and the cast looks amazing! There's also a photo of our new Astrid played by Nico Parker 😄
⭐ A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is getting a second season which will begin filming next year! I probably won't be watching this but I'll keep my options open in case the trailer ends up looking amazing 😂 Maybe the show gets a glow-up or something, idk.
Speaking of Holly Jackson's work, she has a new book coming out in 2025! I'm very excited because so far, I've loved every single book of hers I've read (except the AGGGTM finale, but we don't talk about that here 😬). There's no cover yet, but here's the title:
⭐ BBC released pictures of their new TV show about Jane Austen! I'm only gonna add one picture and the synopsis of the show, you can see all the other pictures on their official website!
"The drama begins in 1830, many years after Jane has died. Cassandra rushes to visit Isabella who is about to lose her home following her father’s death. Cassandra is there to help Isabella, but her real motive is to find a hidden bundle of private letters which could destroy Jane’s reputation. On discovering them, Cassandra is transported back to her youth. In flashback, we meet Young Cassy and Jane as they navigate the romantic infatuations, family feuds and dashed hopes which shaped their lives, and laid the foundations for Jane’s unforgettable stories. Cassandra’s re-evaluation of her past eventually leads her to find a way to guide Isabella towards the path of true happiness."
Synnøve Karlsen (Cassy) and Patsy Ferran (Jane)
⭐ Again, had no idea this was apparently a thing but The Thursday Murder Club is getting a movie adaptation with quite the star-studded cast including Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, and Sir Ben Kingsley!
The movie is coming out on Netflix in 2025. I still haven't read this book tho 😭😅
⭐ BBC dropped a preview of the new Christmas special episode of Doctor Who and it looks so fun!
⭐ The last bit of "news" is actually the new trailer for Y2K, a horror set in ancient times - the 2000s 😂 and it looks so ridiculous, I love it. Also, Rachel Ziegler and Alicia Silverstone are in it.
