In my last reading challenge update post I mentioned how I finished this super fun (and complex!) challenge but I hadn't really talked about it in much detail because I wanted a separate post for it. It has too many prompts and categories 😂

To start off, here's the official description of the Romanceopoly University and some links:

"Romanceopoly U is a year-long romance reading challenge where you “enroll” in classes (prompts) that actually match romance-reader brain chemistry.

The baseline is 20 books to graduate, structured like a degree:

5 Core Curriculum classes (required for everyone)

5 Major classes (you choose your department)

5 Minor classes (you choose a second department)

5 Electives (you cherry-pick prompts from the remaining departments)

Optional add-ons (for the overachievers, the competitive gremlins, and the “I can totally read 120 romances in a year” crowd):

Clubs (each adds 4 prompts)

Seasonal Sports Events (each adds 4 prompts and they’re tied to a season)

Monthly Study Sessions (book club energy)

You can earn bragging right by completing the challenge. Obviously if you complete your 20 academics you’ll graduate! If you also complete 1 club you make the Dean’s List. In addition to that if you complete 1 event, you will be Valedictorian."

Visit their website and find out even more!

Being the overachiever I am, I decided to try and get the Valedictorian title and I freaking did it!!

I also made a super cute pink spread for this in my bullet journal with cards that I could take out of the lil pockets because there were far too many things to write 😂

Below, I'm gonna list all of the classes I chose and books I read for each department. The books will be listed in the order of the classes. And before I get into it, I know that some of these prompts are seasonal and that you should go in some sort of specific order on the board, but I had no intention of doing it that way 😂

I'm a very moody mood reader and I complete prompts in whichever order I find best at the moment. I do this with all of the challenges I participate in because trying to force myself to read a specific genre at a specific time is pointless. Now that that's out of the way, let's dive in!

And that's it! I had so much fun prepping for this challenge in December and even more fun actually reading these books - sometimes even accidentally filling prompts with unexpected books. Depending on how they create next year's challenge, I might join it again. In any case, doing it this year was a great choice. It made me read different genres and look for details I normally wouldn't notice. And I became Valedictorian of a fictional university!!
