New week means new Monday bookish meme hosted by  The Book Date.

   

 I finished all of the books from My Name Picks My Next Read game! The first two were decent mysteries with some surprising twists, but nothing too exciting (3-stars). Then I read Nightshade, which is a "dark academia romance," and I really need to steer clear from this genre because it's not working for me. I don't even know how many of these I tried already, and each of them got 2 stars from me 😂 Lastly, I read The Escape Game and it was the best of the bunch - amazing friendships and fun puzzles to solve made this a 4.5-star read!

After reading about 45% of this fantasy novel, I have really high hopes for it. The world-building is intriguing, the main character is one I can definitely root for, and the plot is slow but promising. I'm just hoping all this build-up is worth it 😂😂

 

I'm really hoping to love The Kinder Poison so I can read the rest of the series! If I don't, then I'll look for something else 😅
