New week means new Monday bookish meme hosted by  The Book Date.

If The Illuminae Files were an adult novel written by a gamer guy obsessed with armor/weapons stats, you'd get this - and I mean that in the best way possible. The humor is on point, the science facts were fun and the characters were memorable. The book even has a sassy AI that's both scary and helpful at the same time. THE ILLUMINAE FILES GUYS, ILLUMINAE.

The only thing that I wish we got was a bit more of the "aftermath." I feel like the epilogue could've given us more insight into what happened next, but that's not a major issue. The book was really fun, there was one plot twist that truly surprised me and I will definitely be picking up more books by this author! I gave the book 4.5 stars ⭐

The premise of this book is basically - the moon turned into cheese, now what? This sounds so ridiculous that I think it's the perfect book to read after Operation Bounce House because that one was crazy as well 😂 It's a bit lighter in tone because, unlike my last read, no one dies here and there isn't any mayhem or destruction...so far at least 😂

The formatting is very interesting because you don't follow just one person, each chapter is dedicated to some "random" person and how they deal with the news that the moon is cheese now. They're not random per se, but there are A LOT of people mentioned - book authors, astronauts, screenwriters, museum workers etc. Basically, anyone who would be affected by the sudden cheesiness is mentioned. 😂

I might pick this one up next because it's on the shorter side and seems like it'll have lots of action, which definitely sounds fun 😄
