New week means new monday bookish meme hosted by The Book Date.
The perfect blend of humor, detective work, and crazy plot lines. I absolutely adored this lil gem of a book and can't wait to continue the series!
One of the best things about this is that literally every character is clever and does their job the way they're supposed to - Tess comes up with crazy theories, the sheriff was 10 steps ahead of her and doing excellent police work, the BFF librarian had all the books connected to the topic at the ready. Even Tess's teenage daughter did her part and made some amazing observations. Basically, this book is full of capable people, and I can't wait to see what they do next!
Continuing with the cozy mystery genre, I picked this up. I'm having mixed feelings about it, but I haven't been reading it that long. I'll read a few more chapters and decide what's next. This one is a part of my reading challenge list so if I don't read it, I have to find a replacement 😅😂

If I end up DNF-ing Death in Bloom, I plan on picking up the sequel to Buried in a Good Book. If I don't DNF it, then I might pick up something else from my reading challenge TBR just to get the ball going.

What are you currently reading? What are you planning on reading next?
