It’s Monday! What are You Reading? - 05.05.25

New week means new monday bookish meme hosted by  The Book Date.

This is gonna disappoint so many people but I have to say it - Dreadful was so boring. 😂 I actually DNF-ed both of these books but for different reasons. I read about 20% of Dreadful before realizing I just don't care for the writing. It's endless monologues and descriptions that drove me mad.

Thieves' Gambit, on the other hand, is just a case of bad timing. I read maybe 10% and already liked it a lot more than Dreadful, but I realized I'm so not in the mood for it so I put this one back on my GR TBR.

I actually had very little time this past week and my mood took this opportunity to completely shift my interests 😂 Luckily for me, I predicted this change and already put some healing fiction books on my immediate TBR 😂

A feel-good bookshop story that's got all the positive vibes and gorgeous, poetic writing I could quote for days is exactly what I needed. I'm only 22% in, but I'm already in love ♥

This one has a similar premise to the book above - a local place (instead of a bookshop, it's a laundromat) that helps its customers feel better, find some peace, and maybe even build new friendships.

What are you currently reading? What are you planning on reading next?
