Spillin' the Tea - There's So Many News I Can't Even

🍹 Here are all the interesting things that have been happening across the interwebs 🍹

⭐ The Superman trailer dropped last month and y'all, this is the first time I'm excited for one of these. I've seen a lot of versions and while I like looking at Henry Cavill 👀 his story didn't excite me that much 😂 Not to mention, I'm not a fan of dark movies and I mean literally - I like when I can actually see what's happening in a scene and I love bright colors 😂

Basically, this looks very fun and comic-y if that's a word. All bright colors, lots of action and THE CUTEST AND GOODEST BOY EVER ♥

⭐ Another teaser dropped in January, and all of my sci-fi girlies are gonna love this - the new Doctor Who season trailer is looking amazing!!

It just looks like a bunch of crazy shenanigans and impossible adventures so of course I love it 😍

⭐ According to Deadline, an old Iron Man villain is making a reappearance in the new Vision spin off series I had no idea was in the making.

I kinda forgot this guy even existed. I guess that means it's time for an Iron Man rewatch marathon soon 😅

⭐ In other Marvel news, the Fantastic Four trailer is out and you know what? It doesn't look that bad. I was never a huge fan of the original, and that remake looked horrible so I never watched it. This one on the other hand has potential.

⭐ For fans of Children of Blood and Bone, there are exciting casting news from Variety

"Thuso Mbedu, Amandla Stenberg, Damson Idris and Tosin Cole are taking on the lead roles in the highly-anticipated film adaptation of “Children of Blood and Bone.” Gina Prince-Bythewood is directing the action fantasy film, based on Tomi Adeyemi’s bestselling novel, for Paramount Pictures."

⭐ If you remember, last time I talked about the new Jurassic World movie and some details about it. Well, now we got a trailer as well!

⭐ I never thought I'd see these two amazing people together, but the universe is on my side - Deadline is reporting that Ke Huy Quan & Lili Reinhart will star in a unique horror movie. Apparently, the movie is about "a young woman’s fight to escape a deadly serial killer through the eyes of man’s best friend, his faithful dog." This sounds both creepy and fascinating!

⭐ For all of us eagerly anticipating the new Legally Blonde prequel series, there is casting news! Lexi Minetree is going to play the new Elle Woods! Lots of news sites have blogged about this, but I'm gonna link to The Pink News because obviously.

There's a video Reese Witherspoon posted on her Instagram account where she tells Lexi they picked her, and she just seems super adorable and nice!

⭐ I was already so excited for Split Fiction - a new game by the people who created It Takes Two - but now I'm even more hyped after the new trailer dropped!

This is basically book-gamer dream come true ♥ Two girls, both story writers, have to overcome obstacles and become friends, while literally being IN those stories.

⭐ There's a new TV show coming soon that looks so good I can't even. It's the Grosse Pointe Garden Society series starring our fave Amy from B99! I will admit I clicked on this YT thumbnail for her, but I stayed for the story.

"In a wealthy suburb where everything appears to be perfect on the surface, four members of the local garden club get entangled in a scandalous murder. "

⭐ According to Prima, Suranne Jones and Jodie Whittaker are going to be a part of a new heist drama called Frauds.

"Let out for compassionate leave after getting an incurable cancer diagnosis, Suranne's character attempts to lure her former friend into another thieving scandal no matter what the cost, while Jodie's character is content with her low-key life now."

⭐ I've never seen a single anime in my life, but this bit of news makes me wanna start watching. Crunchyroll reports there's an Anne With an E anime remake in production and there's already a short teaser out:

⭐ Kiernan Shipka & Mckenna Grace will star in a movie called The Nowhere Game. Here's the description from Deadline:

"The film follows Carin (Grace) and Allie (Shipka), whose road trip takes a harrowing turn when the two young women are kidnapped by a cold-blooded sadist and thrust into a brutal game of survival. With a short head start, Carin and Allie will be set loose in the forest with limited supplies while being hunted in front of an online audience watching in grim fascination. Navigating the hostile wilderness, they discover eerie clues left behind by previous “contestants,” painting a grim picture of the stakes they face. As the hunter closes in, realization dawns on them: surviving isn’t just improbable — it’s nearly impossible. Carin and Allie must shed their fear and transform from prey to predator to bring this twisted game to its final, bloody conclusion."

I love both of these actresses and this description sounds wild!

⭐ We got yet ANOTHER HTTYD trailer and it's truly looking good

⭐ Last but not least, here are 3 new books that I'm VERY excited about!

First up, we have Adoration (it doesn't have a cover yet) - a Pride and Prejudice retelling set during the Joseon dynasty written by June Hur!!!! I can't even tell you how thrilling this news is to me!

Next up is We Met Like This - Kasie West's first adult novel! She writes superb YA romances so I expect nothing less from this book.

That leaves Wandering Wild - a book written by our queen Lynette Noni of the Poison Healer fame. This is a survival story that also has a hate-to-love romance! I need it NOW.

This post took ages to write 😂 At least I hope you found some news that intrigued you! There were lots of trailers in January and February, but there were also lots of casting news. Which part of this post excited you the most?

  1. Omg that is so much news 🤯 I'm looking forward to the new Superman movie, but only because I know it's directed by James Gunn. Otherwise I don't think I would care 😂 And I also did not now about the new Vision TV show with that one villain. How interesting. I still haven't seen the new Captain America movie but I really want to because he's my favorite superhero. I might go this coming weekend with some of my brothers.

And okay, did you hear about the new Taylor Lautner TV show where he plays himself and it's basically about him being recruited after the filming of the last Twilight movie to help fight werewolves or something? THAT is wild 😂 But I'm also intrigued 👀 Lol.
